Cooking Instructions
Cut kielbasa into 1 inch rounds, about 5 per sausage. Then add to a parchment lined sheet pan, and roast in a 450°F oven for 15 minutes.
While the sausage cooks, dice a red onion and chop half your bacon into small bits (or if you don’t want to make a crumble use all of it). Sauté the onions and bacon until browned. Adding water as necessary to keep from burning. Add in the mustard, vinegar and 1 tbsp of hot honey and combine. Remove from the pan.
Once the sausage is browned, remove from the oven and build your pocket, adding half a tsp of filling for each pocket. Top each triangle (isosceles, equilateral, or scalene, it genuinely doesn’t matter. All triangles count!) with a dollop of the everything bagel sauce, brushing it on, and then adding a dusting of EBTB spice. Bake at 425°F for about 20 minutes or until golden.
Remove from oven and while warm, finish with a drizzle of hot honey and some crumbled bacon. For the maple glazed sheet pan beef bacon recipe, click here.
Serve plain or with @chosenfoods everything bagel sauce & enjoy!
Happy Purim!
